What's the age restriction on tattoos?

Each shop is different and normally is up to the artist themselves. I will tattoo 18+, or 16+ with parental consent.

Do you do coverups?

I love to do coverups! Although, I prefer to book consultations beforehand to discuss our options with the piece you need to cover.

Do you use numbing cream?

Yes! Please run it by me beforehand so I can recommend preferred brands and give you proper instructions on how to use any type of numbing cream correctly and to the best of it's ability.

How do I apply numbing cream?

-ALWAYS when trying a new cream do an allergy patch first a day or two before your appointment. Use a small glob on a thin skinned area and wrap well with plastic wrap. Leave covered for an hour and see how the skin reacts (note: some redness and warmth in the area is normal), you want to look for hives/rashes, extreme itching or pain. If you experience any of this remove immediately and discontinue use.

- For the actual tattoo appointment, I recommend applying at LEAST an hour before your appointment. Two hours is better though.

- Apply very liberally. You want to make sure to glob it on thick. If you do a thin layer it really doesn’t do much.

- Wrap super well and tight with plastic wrap so the cream won’t evaporate.

- Do not remove the wrap when you come to the appointment. I’ll remove and clean it when we stencil.

- Another good tip is to apply after a hot shower. Your pores more will be more open!

How do touch ups work?

I do free touchups within 6 months. Pease give the tattoo a month or more to fully heal and settle before determining if a touchup is needed.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course! Though I ask you keep it to only one friend, my studio is small and I share the space with two other artists so It can get a little cramped!

No. I only take cash, e-transfers, or PayPal.

Is there free parking at the studio?

Accepted Answer

Yes! There is a free parking lot right beside the building. For those who use transit, the Sapperton skytrain station is a 15 minute walk from La Rosa.

What's the accessibility at the studio?

Accepted Answer

We are fully accessible with handicap parking, ramp, and elevator access.
