F A Q
-ALWAYS when trying a new cream do an allergy patch first a day or two before your appointment. Use a small glob on a thin skinned area and wrap well with plastic wrap. Leave covered for an hour and see how the skin reacts (note: some redness and warmth in the area is normal), you want to look for hives/rashes, extreme itching or pain. If you experience any of this remove immediately and discontinue use.
- For the actual tattoo appointment, I recommend applying at LEAST an hour before your appointment. Two hours is better though.
- Apply very liberally. You want to make sure to glob it on thick. If you do a thin layer it really doesn’t do much.
- Wrap super well and tight with plastic wrap so the cream won’t evaporate.
- Do not remove the wrap when you come to the appointment. I’ll remove and clean it when we stencil.
- Another good tip is to apply after a hot shower. Your pores more will be more open!
After Care
Bandage
Keep your tattoo wrapped/bandaged for 4 - 6 hours. If you have pets, you can wear it over night.

If you have second skin (Saniderm) leave it on for 4-5 days unless it starts to peel off. If you feel like you want to put on Saniderm a day later, please let me know in advance so I can give extra.
Washing
When you take off the bandage wash the tattoo thoroughly with unscented soap (avoid used bar soap) 2-3 times. Pat dry with new, clean paper towel.

Wash your tattoo once a day for the first week. Your tattoos do not need to be covered again once the bandage is off. Wear loose non-restrictive clothing over it.

*Tip: For Saniderm pull away from your body under water, do not peel like a sticker.
Healing
Let your tattoo dry out for 2-4 days. Once it starts to get flaky/dry you can use a water based, unscented lotion. Use a pea sized amount, lotion does not overly help healing but more so with itchiness or tightness. Do not use Polysporin, Petroleum Jelly, or any oil based moisturizer.

Depending on your tattoo (size, and colour VS black & grey), it can take at least 4 weeks to fully heal.
DO NOT
No swimming, soaking, or sun for at least 2 weeks. Showering like normal once a day is fine. NO picking. If it's super itchy, running it under cold water should help.

Always reach out to you artist, even if you feel silly, if anything feels off with healing or if there's any questions. I'm always there to help!
